Beau Tribolet is not your normal run of the mill Mixed Martial Artists. As well as being a former member of the SWAT team, Beau is also a Sergeant in the Investigations division of the Tucson Police, along with being a dedicated family man and a local philanthropist. So why fight? “I just love the competition. There’s no better feeling than when you walk into that cage, knowing that you put in all the hard work and preparation, now it’s just you and that man across the cage and only one can come out the winner!” Beau started his training in 2006 after being drawn into boxing by his brother. At the time Beau was an accomplished power lifter and weighed nearly 285 lbs. While learning the in’s and out’s of boxing at Undisputed Tucson Beau bumped into a man that would change his life forever, his name; Don Frye. “Don needed a heavyweight to spar with and he asked me if I would go a few rounds.” And that was the moment when Beau became a Mixed Martial Artist. As a former wrestler Beau began learning submission grappling and learning it quickly. After only a few months of training Beau flew to Vegas and entered into the “new guy” division at Grappler’s Quest and won his bracket. Still believing he needed to learn so much more Beau started an everyday training regimen and train is what he did. After two long years of training Beau took his first fight. Beau completely dominated his opponent for 8 straight minutes until getting caught and KO’d. Disappointed but not beaten Beau took a rematch two months later. This time his opponent didn’t have luck on his side and Beau won by submission in the second round. This was just the start! In 2009 Beau fought 7 times in both MMA and pro boxing and came out 6-1 with his only loss was to a very good pro boxer in Vegas. So far in 2010, Beau is 2-0 and he and his team have just been weighing his options as to what direction will lead him to an eventual shot to prove himself as one of the top Mixed Martial Artists in the world. With offers for fights in November, December, and early 2011 Beau may soon become more than just a name spoken by MMA insiders.
